The Dirty Pool of Blog Comments

Imagine, you read something that resonates with you. You decide to post a few comments either in addition to what the author has written, or in support of.  You’ve made sure that the article allows for comments.  Some don’t, you know, and that’s fine too.

Your comment is submitted.

Poof. You comment disappears into the blogovoid.

Is it a glitch? Is it editorial liberty? Is it personal? Was it something I said?

I know that some bloggers use comment moderation, to try to prevent spamming on their blogs. Check back later and see if it shows up, and then you know what's up. If it doesn't, I would send an email to make sure there isn't a problem with that blogger's site. If it was my site, I would want to know if someone was having a problem. ;)

Everything we "publish" "to" the "web" is typed into a dark seething unseemly digital effluvium, a ghastly apparition of semi-simulated gloaming. Smile, it makes everyone happen when you do so.
