« Smog - or Just a Cold? »

After spending a weekend in the country, the drive back to the city saw the beginnings of sniffles and stuffed up nose… I thought it was just the smog - after all, i could barely see the skyline, the soup was so very thick…

I popped a reactine before bed, but woke this morning to the strangest cold like symptoms, scratchy throat and cotton head.  But nothing else… I don’t get it… it sort of reminds me of a cold - but i can breathe (sort of), and my throat is better, if only feeling thick.  The problem is, I haven’t had a cold in about 7 years…. really really.  Drives the Wiz insane…

I don’t think this is a cold, i think it’s from the smog, and it feels ugly.

On my way to the boat yeseterday, I drove down Hwy 6 toward Hamilton. As one clears the crest of the hill just south of Hwy 5, one is treated to the spectacular vista of Hamilton, a dichotomy of beautiful scenery and compelling heavy industry.

Except yesterday I cleared the crest of the hill and was presented with...

Nothing.

Fog. White. Blank. The valley was invisble. While I freely admit Hamilton may in fact be ground zero for the apocalypse, staring over the edge of the hill into nothingness was eerily like I imagine looking at the end of the universe is.

The air quality was so horrible yesterday it cannot be explained. I suspect, as you do, you are suffering its effects.

Aire quality was the shizznit all the way to Mootown, bro.

We were at Maltby/Victoria and the air was still somewhat oppressive.

Is the end of the world nigh?

A very strange isolated low pressure system just worked across the GTA.

That may explain your weird ears.
